ART AND MUSIC

March 28 through August 10, 2014

Ronnie Wood: Art and Music has now opened at the William Benton Museum of Art at the University of Connecticut. This exhibition features an exciting selection of early work as well as very recent work by Ronnie and includes a number of portraits of The Rolling Stones. Created from an insider’s perspective, Ronnie portrays his colleagues, his friends, and band-mates, both in group portraits and individually, with an insight and intimacy not accessible to anyone else. Through line and color, he deftly captures the creative energy of his musical world, showing us a view different from what we might see in the concert hall or arena. Ronnie Wood is one of those rare artists who can express himself through both music and the visual arts, eloquently and expertly.

(March 28 through August 10, 2014) On view at the William Benton Museum of Art at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut (Tuesday-Friday 10:00-4:30; Saturday and Sunday, 1:00-4:30; Closed Mondays) (A 24-page color exhibition catalogue is available for purchase.)
